On Tuesday 28 January 2020 business from across the Greater Manchester area gathered at Monarch Solicitors to discuss the importance of social responsibility in their business. The event, run by ANTZ, focused on teaching business the importance of giving back to the community that, as businesses, we take from.
The event began with a networking mixer where businesses were able to connect with each other and the staff from Monarch Solicitors to learn about each other and the businesses they represent. Once everyone had met and finished at the excellent buffet, participants were guided into Monarchs meeting room for the presentations to begin.
The presentations saw 3 key speakers discuss the importance of social mobility and how businesses can grow by giving back to the community. The topics explored by the speakers focused on the different strategy’s businesses can use to give back to the wider community.
One of the speakers at the event was Shazda Ahmed (also known as Serena Amani), managing partner of Monarch Solicitors to discuss how we approach our corporate social responsibilities here at Monarch. Shazda told the audience of the charity work undertaken by Monarch and our commitment to helping the community by offering internship places to local students who want to learn about a career in the law.
The day finished with another trip to the buffet and exchanging contact information with new business connections before finally heading home. We would like to thank everyone who came to our event and helped make it such a success!
