Just in case any of our readers are unsure, the Northern Powerhouse is a proposal to boost the economic growth throughout Northern England, and Monarch Solicitors are incredibly proud to be able to play a part in the movement. Focusing mainly on the large cities of Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Liverpool, the Northern Powerhouse is all about improving transport links and investing more in innovation.
The Northern Powerhouse has had a huge influence over cities in the north since its inception, with huge improvements already taking place within the arts and transport industries. Alongside its incredible work, Northern Powerhouse also hosts a prestigious conference and exhibition on an annual basis.
This year’s Northern Powerhouse International Conference and Exhibition recently took place from February 21st-22nd 2017, and Monarch Solicitors were delighted to grasp the opportunity to set up our very own exhibition stand! Taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, this year’s event went down an absolute storm, and we already can’t wait for the 2018 exhibition to get underway!
The conference acts as a platform for the separate businesses and entities involved with Northern Powerhouse to get together to discuss their work. With a huge exhibition, awe-inspiring presentations and a special awards dinner, there really is no end to the potential of meeting a whole host of new people. This provides Monarch with an opportunity to network with other companies with similar values, and helps us all make the Northern Powerhouse proposal even stronger.
This year’s event has provided us with valuable insight into the true potential of the Northern Powerhouse, and we’ve been able to gauge the ambitions of many other businesses. With Lord Kerslake now chairing an Advisory Board, it seems as though the Northern Powerhouse has an extremely bright future ahead of it.
